How to print digital line art
Digital line art prints best when the file is high contrast, high resolution, and sized for the final paper before printing.
Before printing
- Choose the final paper size first.
- Use a white or light background for black linework.
- Check that thin lines are still visible at print size.
- Export a PDF for local print shops when possible.
Home printing
Use the highest quality setting, avoid “fit to page” surprises, and test on plain paper before using nicer paper.
Local print shop
Ask for a proof or preview. Bring a PDF and a PNG if you can. Tell the shop the exact final size you want.
